Every great idea starts with a problem. For us, that problem was shin splints.

As an endurance athlete, the pain was familiar — that deep, nagging ache that sets in after miles of pushing your body to its limit. Recovery options existed, but none of them felt right. Nothing was convenient, nothing was designed with the athlete in mind, and nothing truly worked the way it should.

Then came the car ride that changed everything.

It was after a triathlon event. We were driving home, tired but buzzing with that post-race energy, when the conversation turned to recovery. What if there was a better way? What if we could create something specifically designed to help athletes recover faster — starting with the shins? The idea of a recovery shin sleeve began to take shape, rough around the edges, not yet named, not yet fully formed — but alive.

That car ride home was the beginning of ITNOL.

We didn't have all the answers then, and we're still learning every day. But what we've always had is a understanding of what athletes go through — because we've been there ourselves. Every product we create is built from that place: real experience, real pain, and a real desire to make recovery better.
